He was born in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province in 1944. In his early years, he studied in Linyi Art School and learned from the famous Chinese painter Wang Xiaogu. Later, he was admitted to the seminar of the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He was employed as a senior painter of Shandong Painting Academy by professors Guo Yizong and Gao Guanhua. In 1992, he transferred to Shenzhen Special Zone to establish Nanshan Painting Academy and served as the cultural curator, and set up Lu Fangzhai Art Studio in Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Beijing. Cui Peilu's traditional Chinese painting works draw on a wide range of materials, and pay attention to the integration of tradition, life, education, feelings and the expression of the spirit of the times. The painting style is fresh and elegant, permeated with the connotation of humanistic thought, and permeated with the charm of nature. His representative works, Grapes and Peony, are especially treasured by the world, and are known as "Cui Grapes" and "Cui Peony". He is now a member of the Chinese Artists Association, the Chinese Celebrity Association, the member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, the member of the Calligraphers and Painters Association Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of Peace and Unity, and the honorary president of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Academy of the Global Chinese Merchants Federation.
In the past 20 years, he has gone to Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macao for many times to hold painting exhibitions and art exchanges, which have set up "bridges of art" for the spread of Chinese culture overseas and won wide praise. His representative works such as grapes, peonies and plum blossoms have been collected in the Great Hall of the People in the capital, the National Museum of Virginia in the United States, the Chinese Embassy in Britain, the Bank of China Building in Hong Kong and other Chinese and foreign institutions. His grape painting was presented to Junshu Haibu, the former Prime Minister of Japan, as a national gift by He Jingzhi, acting Minister of the Ministry of Culture. Later, Mr. Nakasone Kanghong also collected one of his "Peony Painting". Many of his excellent works have also been presented to many international friends as gifts by state organs such as the Great Hall of the People of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central United Front Work Department.
